Giant, digital photographs, 2015

Giant is part of a wider project about the Meremere power station, which produced electricity using coal powered turbines from the 1950s-1990s. A large, detailed, amateur model of the power station was discovered by the artist. The date the model was created is unknown, but it is likely that the model was made during the 1960s. Many parts of the model have broken off the main structure and came with the model in a paper bag. The artist has photographed every piece, resulting in an archive of over 200 images a selection of which is shown here.
